Other sources:

The crazy linguistics theory about Basque in Post 1 was found in Gaston Dorren's fantastic article "Talking Gibberish: Why is linguistics such a magnet for dilettantes and crackpots?" and was the theory of a man named Edo Nyland. Sentence about"springs and motives" is almost an exact quote from Moby Dick, as are some other setences in some other posts, but they should all be obvious. Letter and a litte bit of final post is English Patient parody. Also a ton of references to other stuff, but all in good fun. Shoutout to Chevy Chase
